Founded over twenty years ago by Alfredo Radice – celebrating its 25^th anniversary this year, Gale & Cosm began by supplying small quantities of galenic and cosmetic raw materials. Over time, the company expanded its capabilities: today, it distributes raw materials for the make-up, skincare, haircare, home care, and nutraceutical sectors; it has built a consolidated network of international partners and offers a portfolio that includes functional emulsifiers, natural oils, certified active ingredients, and internally developed formulations.

A key aspect of Gale & Cosm’s operations is its dual-lab structure: an in-house laboratory to support clients and own distributors with standard formulations, and an external laboratory dedicated to research and development of new raw materials, proprietary ingredients, and technical training. It is thanks to this R&D center—located in Umbria—that the innovations presented at Making Cosmetics were born.

• GALE NMF (Natural Moisturizing Factor) is Gale & Cosm’s latest solution for deep hydration, skin barrier protection, and corneocyte equilibrium. Developed in the Umbrian laboratory, this active was optimized for compatibility, stability, and sensorial performance using advanced instruments and specialized personnel.
• Galolive 1000 is an innovative emulsifier derived from olive sources, enhanced for solubility, skin compatibility, and performance in demanding formulations exposed to environmental and oxidative stress or variable temperatures. Gale & Cosm already offers a range of “Galolive” emulsifiers (such as Galolive OW, WO, Ten, Green) for both oil-in-water and water-in-oil systems, processable at room temperature and ideal for sensitive formulations.
• Gale Colorbase HD is designed for high-performance and pigment-friendly color bases for haircare products, perfectly suitable for hair dyes and conditioners or hair masks, with great emulsifying properties.
